Their unique approach and top-class design service has helped carve a name in the niche market of children’s book publishing industry.

Author In Me founders, Ekta Bajaj and Monica Sood believe ardently that a child’s innate intelligence can flourish in full potential only if imagination, curiosity and fun can be embedded successfully in teaching system. Keeping this in mind, they continuously research ancient education system from all cultures intensively and adapt them in the modern teaching scenario. They then deliver these through courses and workshops in creative writing, wellbeing and entrepreneurship.

Starting with a batch of 5 students, Author In Me has gradually expanded to conducting regular skill enhancement courses and workshops for children. Operating actively from their study centres in High Wycombe, Amersham, Watford, Harrow and Modern, their young authors family has expanded to more than 500 students of the age range of 6-14 years. They have also collaborated with Costa Coffee to conduct an entrepreneurial course for 10-14 years old for launching a new milkshake flavour for Costa.

“We want introduce positive learning in children. The kind of learning that triggers the inquisitive mind to be active in finding innovative solutions. This is the need of the hour,” says Ekta Bajaj.

Author In Me courses are led by a panel of authors and experts who share their vision and bring with them rich experience and practical application of academic knowledge.

“Our holistic approach allows us to focus on every child’s unique ability and talent. We limit our study groups to maximum 12 with a flexible age range to allow positive flow of learning,” says Monica Sood.

Author In Me aims to collaborate with organisations, writers and educators who share their joint vision to empower, educate and enrich children. The founders have also conceptualised unique learning techniques and published educational resources in the field of creative writing, vocabulary and well-being for KS1, KS2 and 11 PLUS preparation. The well-researched workbooks and vocabulary flash cards are available to buy from ‘The Marlow Bookshop’, Amazon, Waterstones(online) and WHSmith (online).

Inspiring young children to express their thoughts coherently may not be an easy task but Monica and Ekta have successfully turned their passion into a striving business. They were nominated by public as finalist for the award and competed with six other strong businesses in this category.

“This award means a lot. The fact that we emerged as winner amongst so many talented people reinforces our self-belief and reflects the love that we have received by parents and children,” says Monica Sood.

“We work incredibly hard and to believe in something for not just one day but for 365 days continuously is not easy. This award is just a proof that hard work reinforced with positivity brings nothing but joy,” adds Ekta Bajaj.

Author In Me aim to start an academy that teaches parallel life skills by blending education and knowledge to bring the best out of a child in an organic and natural way. The vision is big but Monica and Ekta ready to take on all challenges with a smile.
